I love working for mission-driven organizations.  While it’s super important to me that my time spent at work has a higher purpose than the bottom line, it’s equally important that I’m surrounded by co-workers who are also drawn to mission-driven organizations. That’s why Questar is a great fit for me.

Together, everyone at Questar does valuable work by making a difference for our state-clients, their district administrators, their teachers, the parents, and ultimately the students. And while making a difference within our roles at Questar, we have also been making a difference outside Questar on a number of mission-driven activities that define our corporate culture. Here’s just a few of the activities I participated in this year:

  • Formed our first “Team Questar Assessment” MS-150 bike team and rode 150 miles from Duluth to St. Paul to raise over $4000 and bring greater awareness to the work of the National MS Society.
  • Donated blood to the Memorial Blood Center along with about 50 other Questar employees at our semi-annual blood drives (It’s so easy when they bring the mobile donation center to our offices).
  • Packed meals at Feed My Starving Children alongside 13 of my Questar colleagues, and two of their children, during two 2-hour shifts.
  • And, in an ongoing effort, we collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House (This adds up pretty quickly at Questar…which might have something to do with my technology team and caffeine).

I’m proud to be working for a mission-driven organization, and love working with others who contribute to other worthy causes beyond our daily work. Go Team Questar!
