Does visual presentation of text affect student ability to absorb content? Researchers from the University of California, Irvine will soon be working on a project to determine the effects of “Live Ink” text reformatting in 7th and 8th grade classrooms. THE Journal reports that “VSTF, an approach developed by Walker Reading Technologies and licensed as “Live Ink,” reformats text digitally with line breaks and indentations to assist visual and syntactic processing for students who are reading.”
