As the K-12 assessment industry continues to develop new, more efficient computer-based assessments, more schools are adopting online testing. This shift towards tech-enhanced assessment is opening new channels across the ed-tech industry. In addition to more online summative tests, Education Week reports that “[s]chool systems also want more formative assessments to gauge what students are learning, and where they need more help, as well as data analytics tools to help interpret assessment results.”
