According to THE Journal, “[t]his year’s top priorities among IT leadership in K-12 are assessment readiness, wireless access and mobile learning, in that order.” Online assessments may allow school districts to save money on testing materials, and offer better alternative assessments for students with special needs. However, preparing districts with necessary computer hardware and software is a prerequisite to implementing online testing, making it an important topic with K-12 educators.
