US Senator Tammy Baldwin has introduced a new bill proposing a $1 billion plan to increase the use of technology in the public school classroom. Today’s workplace depends more on technology now than it ever has in the past, and Senator Baldwin hopes to increase access to technology-enhanced learning for all US students. As THE Journal reports, “[t]he Act also gives a callout to rural and remote schools to put in place ‘the technology they need to shrink distances, enhance learning and prepare their students for the global workplace.'”
