Ms. Trent is the Vice President, Assessment Services at Questar Assessment, Inc. She provides content management and supervision for major state clients. In addition, she consults with state clients regarding design and implementation.
Ms. Trent has been instrumental in developing assessment protocols for alternate assessment programs, on-line, high stakes tests with quick turnarounds, and English language proficiency examinations. Additionally, she has developed scoring rubrics, writing prompts, and other assessment materials for numerous state contracts.
Previously, she was the Vice President of Performance Assessment Services for Data Recognition Corporation, where she was responsible for managing large-scale performance assessment projects involving the handscoring of student essays and constructed responses.
Earlier in her career she served as a Project Manager and Scoring Director at Measurement Incorporated where she worked on some of the earliest statewide performance assessment projects including the Texas Assessment of Basic Skills and the Maryland Writing Test.
Ms. Trent has completed Liberal Studies coursework toward her Master of Arts at Duke University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
