MaJeana Hallstrom is Vice President, Business Solutions Architecture. In this role, she collaborates with clients and leads Questar's cross-functional groups to develop high quality solution designs, coordinate custom contract renewals and amendments, and participate in/lead corporate business development and operational strategic planning efforts.
Ms. Hallstrom has more than 29 years of experience in the large-scale assessment industry. Her expertise is focused in program management, materials design, and proposal development as well as operations, production, process planning, and corporate leadership.
Ms. Hallstrom has been instrumental in business and corporate infrastructure development for several organizations and has overseen some of the largest and most complex high-stakes statewide assessment programs—all managed within budget and delivered on time.
Prior to her role with Questar, Ms. Hallstrom was a co-founder and served as Executive Vice President of Questar Educational Systems, Inc., which was acquired in 2006 and joined with other divisions to become the current Questar Assessment, Inc.
During her career, she has led large teams of program managers; headed marketing, proposal development, and contract negotiation activities for educational testing projects; and has overseen publications production and procurement groups.
Previously, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Account Management at Data Recognition Corporation, where she was responsible for the management and direction of all large-scale, statewide assessment programs.
Ms. Hallstrom also served as Project Director of Large-Scale Assessment Programs for both National Computer Systems and Intran Corporation.
She completed Masters of Business Administration coursework at the University of Minnesota and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Business Management emphasis from the University of Minnesota.
