Christopher Nguyen is the Managing Partner for
DCP Group, LLC and serves on the Board of Directors for Questar. DCP is a Baltimore, Maryland based technology solutions firm founded in 2002 by Mr. Nguyen and Mr. Lee O. Clinton.
Mr. Nguyen has over 20 years experience in multiple enterprises in the education and training areas. These enterprises have served a broad range of markets from K-12 services to corporate training software systems. Mr. Nguyen has built companies from zero stage startups to over $100 million in revenues and been involved in two IPOs.
At DCP, Mr. Nguyen focuses on two areas. Mr. Nguyen helps organizations develop customized technology solutions to manage their business operations. Typically these customers are in the learning or education markets. Also, Mr. Nguyen develops growth strategies for training and/or educational organizations. Mr. Nguyen has strong expertise in the global English language learning marketplace with an emphasis on India, China, Japan and Korea.
Prior to DCP, Mr. Nguyen was the President and CEO of Caliber Learning Network, Inc. from its inception in 1996 through 2001. Caliber was an eLearning startup jointly funded by MCI and Sylvan Learning Systems. Caliber focused on bringing high end university-based programs into a distance learning framework. Caliber had distribution agreements with The Wharton School, Johns Hopkins University, and Columbia among other prestigious partners. Caliber grew to revenues in excess of $25 million. Mr. Nguyen raised over $100 million in financing for Caliber including a public offering in May of 1998.
Prior to Caliber, Mr. Nguyen was the Chief Operating Officer for Sylvan Prometric, a division of Sylvan Learning Systems. While at Prometric, Mr. Nguyen developed a network of over 2000 computer-based testing centers within 100 countries. Mr. Nguyen was responsible for managing the operating infrastructure of the company as well as the key clients. Prometric grew to over $100M in revenues while Mr. Nguyen was involved and had over a 95% market share.
Prior to Prometric, Mr. Nguyen held senior executive roles in various training and education companies.
Mr. Nguyen is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
