Summary

Questar Assessment has a great opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant at our corporate office in Apple Valley, MN. This full-time position will provide administrative support and handle a variety of special projects in support of assigned executives, manage the front reception desk, and support scoring services (during the scoring season).

Responsibilities

  • Complete administrative tasks for assigned executives, including calendar management; composing and preparing correspondence; organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files; monitoring and responding to emails; scheduling and coordinating meetings; and making facility arrangements.
  • Manage projects and create a broad variety of documents and materials for executives, including PowerPoints, financial spreadsheets, charts and graphs.
  • Manage the front desk receptionist duties: greet/welcome visitors, direct incoming phone calls, process the mail, manage supplies, etc.
  • Anticipate needs and prioritize incoming issues, requests and inquiries, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Consult with the executive in determining the appropriate course of action, referral or response. Manage workflow independently and follow through to successful completion.
  • Work closely with executives to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, and issues taking place in the internal and external environments.
  • During the scoring season – provide administrative support to scoring services including: supporting the recruiting and selection of seasonal readers, preparing materials for the scoring season, tracking projects, filing documentation, and general administrative support to the department.

Assessment Design and Psychometrics

Assessment Specialist - Apple Valley, MN

Summary:

Assessment Specialists are key contributors in all tasks needed in creating assessment forms. These individuals are responsible for supporting activities such as blueprint design, item creation, field test form construction, and operational forms construction, or completing these tasks under the guidance of senior members of the Assessment Design and Psychometric team. Assessment Specialists work very closely with both internal and external clients to fulfill needs of test design and development.

We are currently hiring an Assessment Specialist with expertise in ELL assessments and will give preference to applicants with expertise in ELL plus an additional content area.

The Assessment Design and Psychometrics (ADP) team consists of assessment specialists, psychometricians, statistical analysts, and technical writing/editing experts. Work is divided by assessment type. Experts work primarily with English language learner (ELL), alternate and early childhood assessments or with 3–8, end-of-course, and authored innovative assessment solutions. While this is how the department is divided, team members work together across assessment types to provide expertise and support on projects as needed or directed. Assessment Specialists report to the Director of Test Development and the Director reports to the Vice President of Assessment Design and Psychometrics.

Assessment Specialists are knowledge leaders on the ADP team and within Questar. As such, Assessment Specialists are expected to provide guidance and direction on projects, initiate conversations related to innovation and flexibility with processes, and work closely with all Questar teams to meet the quality and service expected of our clients.

SUMMARY

This position assists staff and clients with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related Technologies on a day to day basis either onsite or remote within the business environment. The Senior Application Architect is responsible for actively partnering, across all aspects of technology projects for Questar. This position has ownership of a view (Application, Data and release management) of the overall application architecture and works with the other technology staff to create the overall architecture vision for Questar systems. The position is responsible for defining the architecture principles, tooling and best practices for that view and ensuring applications adhere to those standards. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining a set of plans that enable the product roadmap align the overall technical architecture with Questar’s business goals and customer timelines.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead architect for all application development, product development and client implementations.
    • Primarily a Microsoft-based technology stack, expertise with .NET and SQL a must for this role. Experience with Telerik reporting framework a plus.

Summary

The User Experience (UX) Lead is responsible for the definition of highly usable and satisfying user experiences across the suite of Questar Assessment’s online product portfolio. A successful candidate will analyze the current state of our digital products and provide insights into opportunities for new and improved user experiences. This role will establish UX design best practices aligned to support of overall business strategy. Responsibilities

Management:

  • Coordinate, conduct, and report results of usability studies on Questar’s online tools.
  • Work with technology team to develop and implement cross-functional processes that improve user satisfaction and create organization-wide understanding of the value of various features.
  • Define and maintain a consistent process for creating an outstanding user-experience for all Questar users across a number of features including: external-facing customer tools, internal-facing content development tools for the assessment development teams, external-facing data-visualizations for teachers and administrators to understand student performance, and internal-facing knowledge-base tools to assist support staff with assisting users with customer-service activities.
  • Set standards for documentation and gathering user-feedback to continuously improve the development of new user-centric features.

Questar has an opportunity for a full-time Customer Support Rep position in the Customer Support department at our corporate office in Apple Valley, MN. We are a dynamic and resourceful organization that provides educational assessment services to clients in the K-12 education industry. As a critical point of contact for our clients, the Customer Service team drives long term relationships with customers through superior work and professional representation of the company. The Customer Support position communicates with clients by phone and/or email troubleshooting and resolving issues. The role owns resolution of all client issues received and serves as Questar’s customer liaison to the school or district.

The Customer Service department’s hours of operation are generally M-F, 6am – 5pm, and shift start times vary between 6 – 9 am. Monday – Friday. Estimated 30-32 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to school districts by answering questions and filling material orders.
  • Monitor and document all client communications utilizing Customer Service software.
  • Key entry data and verify data accuracy.
  • Attend internal program meetings.
  • Assist Program Management or other Customer Service staff with the resolution of concerns and/or testing issues.
  • Provide back-up receptionist duties according to a predetermined schedule.
  • Perform administrative duties as necessary (data entry, word processing, copying, mailings, etc.).
  • Create and maintain client-specific program documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Questar has an opportunity for a full-time Tech Support position in the Customer Service department at our corporate office in Apple Valley, MN. The Tech Support position communicates with clients by phone and/or email troubleshooting and resolving technical system issues. The role owns resolution of all client issues received and serves as Questar’s technical liaison to the school or district.

The Customer Service department’s hours of operation are generally M-F, 6am – 5pm, and shift start times vary between 6 – 9 am. Full-time positions are 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 12 months/year. Occasional overtime may be required during peak season, February – May 2015. Depending upon candidate, this position can be 30-40 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot client issues regarding installation/set-up of online testing and reporting software.
  • Resolve complex problems that involve local network issues (such as proxy servers, firewalls, internet filters, and permissions) and other school equipment and/or software configurations.
  • Use internal ticketing systems to document and track all issues and problems to resolution.
  • Utilize and coordinate escalation protocol to identify and escalate issues.
  • Work with other technical staff to maintain the help desk ticket system and designated SharePoint sites.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Two-year college degree in information technology or relevant field; additional relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
  • 2 or more years of technical customer support experience.
  • General knowledge of standard technologies, equipment and software (e.g., Windows, Linux, Mac, thin client environments, remote desktop applications such as TeamViewer, Java runtime environment, and issues related to hardware and software such as drivers, graphic cards and virtual servers).
  • General knowledge of installing software, active directory, proxy servers, firewalls, and web filters.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server and the ability to write and modify basic query’s to extract data from the SQL database.
  • Experience with call center ticketing systems and the administration of ticketing system.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with decision-makers, users, and stakeholders to analyze, design, and build best-in-class Salesforce implementation
  • Develop and manage Salesforce dashboards, reports, forms, templates, page layouts, workflows and approvals, and create and maintain custom objects, as necessary.
  • Perform Salesforce administrator functions such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, assignment rules, queues, licenses, capacity and storage management.
  • Work with end users to provide best practices and tips on Salesforce usage including training, documentation and support as necessary.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce.com, or similar CRM Experience required, including work implementing Salesforce and/or redesigning and significantly enhancing how the system is used within an organization, and involving coding related to system components, and then maintaining the system.
  • 3+ years of sales operations, finance or analytics experience preferably in a sales environment, with at least 2 years of project management.
  • BA/BS in business/information systems, finance, math, a related field.
